Phones as controllers
- How do I use my phone as a controller?
- Start Rig King on an Apple TV, iPad or Mac. Open your phone's Camera, point it at the QR code on the game's menu and tap the Rig King link. Your phone connects and becomes the controller. Nearby Apple TVs and iPads running Rig King are also listed in the app; tap one to join. On Android you can also scan the code from inside the app.
- My phone can't find the TV.
- Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. On iPhone, allow Rig King to find devices on your local network (Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network). Guest or hotel networks sometimes block devices from seeing each other.
- It says "This TV is full".
- Two players are already driving on that screen, with phones or controllers. Ask one of them to leave (LEAVE on a phone, or B on a controller in the 2 PLAYERS lobby), then tap TRY AGAIN.
- Who is Player 1 and who is Player 2?
- First come, first served. Whoever joins first (a controller pressing A, or a phone connecting) is Player 1, and the next is Player 2. Each player's controller or phone only drives their own car. To change sides, press SWAP in the 2 PLAYERS lobby (or Y / up on a controller or phone).
- The phone says "Slow Wi-Fi".
- Your phone's connection to the TV is too slow to steer well. Move closer to the router or the TV, or switch the TV to a wired connection if it has one.
Two players
- How do we play two-player?
- Choose 2 PLAYERS on the menu. Player two joins with a second phone (scan the QR code) or a second game controller (press A). Both pick a car on the screen, then player one picks the track. The screen splits left and right.
Controllers and the Siri Remote
- Which controllers work?
- Xbox, PlayStation and MFi controllers connected over Bluetooth. On Apple TV, the Siri Remote works the menus; use a phone or a controller to drive.
Purchases
- I bought something but it's locked.
- Open Settings in the game and choose Restore Purchases. Purchases made with the same Apple ID unlock on all your devices, and Family Sharing is supported.
- Refunds
- Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).
